einstein, reality & time

I was just researching about Einstein, especially his quote about reality being an illusion (see above). However, apparently this is a misquote, and he didn't actually say that famous quote, which is a shame, as I have always loved reading it. It does not matter though, because from my research, Einstein's quote was actually this (which is equally interesting to me):

"People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion".

It seems he is suggesting that past, present and future do not exist, at least from the perspective of a physicist. I agree, and have known for a long time, that time is an illusion, and that the only constant in the Universe is change. Things change. Even if time did exist, it is certainly not linear, as we are programmed to believe since our birth. But it's not just 'time', there are many ideas or 'facts' that we have been spoonfed since our birth into this world, and these ideas are warped. We have been force-fed (by society) an idea or concept of reality, that is far from what reality actually is.

It is only when we are able to break free from the traditional idea of reality, that we will be able to re-program ourselves to take full control of reality, and bend reality to our will, literally.
